A metallic-y neutral look!

When I got the Naked palette, I got it more for kit use as opposed to using it on myself because I figured it would be too neutral for me and I wouldn't want to use it that much.  I was wrong.  I've used it so much more than I ever thought I would (anyone else think the color "Naked" is completely genius???).

Also when I got my Tough as Taupe Maybelline Color Tattoo I knew I wanted to use it with my favorite NYX Ultra Pearl Mania, which is the color Mocha, it's a beautiful grey brown color.  So I used Tough as Taupe for my base today and then I foiled the Mocha on my lid and finished off the look using the Naked palette.  I know this isn't the most exciting look in the world but I like it!

My color placement:

I also placed my first order with Beauty From the Earth yesterday.  They had some blogger set deal where you could pick from certain groupings of colors (pink & brown, mattes, bold colors, metallic & jewels) and you'd get 3 full sized colors and 3 sample sized colors for $12.  I thought that was a really good deal so my metallic and jewel colors (hopefully a good choice haha) are on their way!  Have any of you used BFTE?  If so, how do you like them?  I can't wait to get them and try them out!

Horray for tomorrow being Friday!  I hope you guys all have a great weekend!!  Thank you so much for checking this out!!!

  1. I love the color naked. I think its a shame they didn't put it on the second palette. I mean the palette is called Naked. Love the look. Neutral can be gorgeous:)

    1. Right? I 100% agree. Instead they decided to put Half Baked in there! Half Baked! That's my least favorite color from the palette. And I already have it in my other Urban Decay palette and never use it!

    1. I outline them with ELF cream liner in "Coffee" and then I fill them in first with Anastasia eye pencil in "Blonde" and then I put their Ash Blonde powder on top!

  3. Who said neutrals aren't exciting? You've just proved the opposite. I love this look and the metallicness of it all! I really want to try some of those Maybelline colours (or all of them).

  5. Gorgeous once again! how do you get your "looks" to photograph so well? I have tried everything but they always look washed out - any advice? I have a Sony Cybershot.

    1. I still feel like my photographs aren't very good. Especially when I can't get to natural light. I have a Canon Powershot A2100 IS. But I usually stand in my back doorway when the sun is on the other side of my house so the light reflects off of my fence, which helps the colors to show up more true to life. But I still edit my pictures on picnik.com (which is closing on April 19th so I'm going to have to figure something else out!) where I edit the contrast and the color temperature. I hope that helps a little!

  10. Its hard for simple looks to have a lot of impact, but you've certainly managed to do that hear. Well done, you look really pretty in these pictures. I've yet to try BFTE but I'll be looking forward to what you have to say about your shadows.
