On me, this look is far from a favorite. I can dig the eyes but the lips are a bit much haha. My daughter told me I looked scary and people wouldn't like it. I feel like my bone structure isn't strong enough for this look. I don't know, something isn't right.
Here's a look I did the other day that I never posted (I've been doing that lately... whoops!). I was kind of inspired by a 60's smokey eye, where they're a more elongated shape as opposed to being rounded like I usually do.
On my eyes:
Lime Crime eyeshadow helper
Lime Crime's Magic Dust "Medusa" (applied wet on lid, this color is GENIUS when applied wet, and blended up dry from there)
Naked Palette's "Buck"
Naked Palette "Virgin" as highlight
On cheeks:
ELF studio blush/bronzer duo
Anastasia Beverly Hills Highlighting Creme Duo in "Aspen" (this thing is GORGEOUS!!!)
Ulta powder blush "girlie"
Lips:
Calypso Minerals Lipthix (a super light pink color)
MAC Viva Glam Gaga lipstick
MAC "Right Image" Cremesheen Glass
So that's what I have for today! I hope you all have an incredible week! And as always, thank you so so much for checking this out! I apprecaite you so much!
Both of these looks are so great!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteI think your crazy for not liking the first look on you! It looks gorgeous and fierce! I love how simple the eyes are and the Lipgloss seriously looks amazing on you!
ReplyDeleteIt's just completely different, I guess it's more discomfort than dislike, you know?
DeleteYour skin is beautiful and I know it's not just the foundation. Have you done a skin care/routine post that I might have missed? If not, please do one!
ReplyDeleteOh man haha, my skin is most definitely not beautiful haha. It's a mixture of makeup, photo angles, and a bit of editing. I have scarring on my face and randomly some acne so I've learned to conceal it pretty well! But thank you!
DeleteDespite what you say, you have an overall evenness to be admired!
DeleteI love the first look! So great!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteFirst of all I'm so flattered that you were partially inspired by my look, and secondly - I have to respectfully disagree. I think the look is quite flattering on you. Your daughter is right, it isn't wearable per say but it's definitely pretty. Awesome work as always!
ReplyDeleteWell thank you. And thank you for the inspiration (though yours was WAY more girly than mine!)!
DeleteI can't help but love the first eye look.....I can appreciate these kind of natural looks....I always strive for an eye look like the first one! Your eyeliner is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI do post my more neutral looks with you in mind because I know you appreciate them. They don't usually get many comments but I know that there are people out there who appreciate the neutral looks!
DeleteThe dark lip really suits you! I can never pull off something like that. :< The 60's look is amazing! Love the eyes. :D
ReplyDeleteI really like the first look, lately I use darker lips more often too :) And then your black eyes look is simply lovely...

Haha the lips aren't something I'd wear out but it was fun to try for my blog! And thank you!
DeleteIt's all too beautiful! You must have the most versatile eyes in the world. I love all of these looks on you. The more cat-eyed shape in the last look is a favourite of mine. I love the purple lips! It's not exactly a 'run to the shops and pick up some milk' look, but it would be fantastic at night for going out.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful. Both looks are stunning but the first one is my favorite. It's so simple yet bold and sexy. Mysterious even. LOVE!
ReplyDeleteI think both of these looks are gorgeous on you!!!!
ReplyDeleteReally love the dark plum lips, made me tempted to give it a shot :)
ReplyDelete:) I think the dark lips really work on you! Love it!

Good Morning Angel.
