Colorful looks! Purple with coral and blue with orange and yellow!

I've been feeling colorful and bright recently so I've been going with that and doing some bolder looks.  I did this purple look over the weekend and I love it.  This would be a look I think I could wear every day and still love it just as much.  I think purple and coral/orange are a color combo made in heaven.  So here's that look:

I used:
TFSI
NYX JEP "milk"
MUFE 92 (the most beautiful purple EVER!!  Not the easiest to work with, but totally worth it!)
Inglot 361 M (coral color)
A smidge of NYX "Black" shadow in outer v
NYX "white" shadow for highlight
Wet 'n Wild/Revlon Colorstay black liquid liners mixed
L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara

And I don't know if you guys know but recently I won a contest on MakeupGeek (I was super excited because I've entered like a million times and I finally won!!)

I won a Sugarpill "Burning Hearts" quad which came in the mail today!  Here are the colors that come in the quad:

Normally I would have jumped all over that purple but honestly, I've worn so much purple lately, I'm kinda purpled out.  I still wanted to use the palette so here is what I did today!

I took this picture with the flash on
From this palette I used the orange (Flamepoint) and the yellow (Buttercupcake).  I can see why these palettes are so raved about, I needed the smallest bit of color for it to work sooo well!
On my lid is Ben Nye pigment "Cosmic Blue"
And I used a bit of NYX "black" to help blend the blue and orange together
Inglot 393 is my highlight color

This was not my favorite look in the world.  I think it's ok.  In person it's VERY bright.  I'm excited to try the other colors in the palette.  How do you guys like to use this palette if you have it?

That's my bright exciting post for today haha.  And of course, as always, thank you so much for taking time out of your day to check this out!!!

  1. I love both looks you did. I am so jealous you won this! I have been wanting to try it. All I have right now are 2 Sugarpill pigments (which I love).

  2. I love both looks. I'm a huge purple fan and this look is awesome. I love the second look because it's one of the more unique looks I've seen using the Burning Heart palette. Congratulations on your win!

  3. I can't believe you've never won a MUG contest before, that boggles my mind! Love both looks, but the second is jaw dropping!

  4. Gorgeous. Everytime you enter I swear you'll win, so it's about time!

I love this palette. I used it the other day by blending the yellow from almost the brow down into the orange into the red in the crease into the purple all over the lid. Got the idea from LittleKiva's latest Bold and Bright tutorial(though she used Inglot). It's gorgeous!

Have fun! Can't wait to see what else you come up with for this palette!

  6. I love the look you created with the Sugarpill palette! It actually looks like it would have worked well for the MUG contest that just ended, the Native American one. That's the first thing that came to mind with the turquoise blue and the orange together. Beautiful!

  7. I am loving the way you have been doing your eyeliner lately!! So gorgeous!

I am sooooo freaking happy you have FINALLY won a MUG contest, soooo defiantly deserved! Half the time you entered I thought you should win! And might I say, you scored! That is an awesome palette! I love it so much and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the look you created with it, that blue is gorgeous with the orange/yellows!

How do you feel about Buttercupcake? Is it pigmented for you? I've hardly used mine because it isn't as bright as my 120 palette yellow, but maybe I just got a bad shadow

  10. @Leticia: haha I've been eyeballing these palettes for a long time but I just had a hard time justifying buying one.

@olgiepolgie: Thank you! That's quite a compliment, you telling me it's one of the more creative look you've seen! Thank you so much!

@Angie: haha yeah, I'm a professional at not winning stuff. I usually could guess who would win.

@Karen: I'll definitely be trying that sometime!!

@Ashii: I loved the look you entered in the contest! But thank you!

@Kristy: I hadn't even thought of that! Oh well! Thank you!!

@Kassie: Thank you!!! Haha it's all good. And about Buttercupcake, I've only used it the one time but I did swatch it on my hand and stuff and it's not what I thought it would be at all. It's kinda dry and a little chalky and not as pigmented as I expected it to be. I have the 88 palette and there's no real yellow in there so it's better than nothing!

@LisaMarie: thank you!!! I appreciate it!

@Sarah: Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like it!!
