I'm a fan. What do you think?
So on my eyes I used NYX JEP in Black Bean as a base (just a thin layer so it kinda looks grey because one time I did too thick of a layer and it creased sooo fast! And that was over a primer), then I used Inglot shadow AMC 61 (a dark navy with blue sparkles), the navy blue from my 88 palette, a light matte blue also from my 88 palette, and then Inglot DS 496 as my highlight (a matte white with tons of little sparkles).
Also, I wanted to say that when I initially swatched the soft matte lip creams, the NYX UK page on Facebook decided that they were going to take on of my pictures and use it. Which would have been fine if they had asked for permission. I am lucky enough to have great ladies in my life who look out for me, in this case it was Natalie from NOTD who let me know that they were using my picture. I commented on the picture twice, once saying that they should have asked permission, and then a second time with a link to the blog post that they took my picture from. Well, they removed the picture from their wall (it's still in their album though https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=222083544491403&set=pu.155544267811998&type=1&theater) and they also removed my blog address. Nice right??? Well Miss.Natalie then replied with the most awesome comment (thank you!)! I don't know how to watermark my pictures so that people can't just use them without permission. All I ask is that you ask permission, you know?? I'm more than willing to let them use my swatch, just ask! Oh well.
That's that! I hope you all are having a wonderful week! Thank you so much for taking time to check this out! I appreciate it so so much!!!
This is drop dead stinkin' gorgeous!!! You look phenomenal!
ReplyDeleteOh, and that is crappy of NYX. If you look online there are tutorials and recommendations for free software to watermark your photos. I hate having to do it, because I feel like it takes away from the beauty of some photos. Too bad some people aren't honest.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this look!! Absolutely stunning!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I am so surprised they did that- and didnt even apologise. people have done that to me many times, and I was just so shocked cause I wouldn't do it myself! but it lets you know power of the internet I suppose...
ReplyDeletereally gorgeous!! thanks to you I have ordered some of these lip creams, so excited to get them!
ReplyDeleteMmmmhummm that smokeyness of amazing on you
ReplyDeleteI love your make! And im really upset about NYX doing that! Is not that hard to ask for permission!
ReplyDeleteGreat eye makeup as usual.
ReplyDeleteBad news that NYX used a photo without permission.
You do a smokey eye like none other. There are lots of photoshop tutorials for watermarking your images, and when you get a bit more comfortable with it you can set an 'action' and just click a button and it will watermark them for you. Sorry about the thievery.
ReplyDeleteThis is freakin gorgeous! What's on your cheeks? That's messed up about NYX.
ReplyDeleteLove the look!!
ReplyDeleteMakes you wonder how many more of their photos were taken without permission... and good catch natalie!!!
This is stunning! You look so fierce with dark colors on the eyes! Love it! =D
ReplyDelete@Leticia: Aw, thanks so much! Yeah, I don't really want to watermark my pictures but I don't want people to just take them.
ReplyDelete@Jackee: thank you!
@Amalia: I know! I'm surprised because it's a company. It's one thing if a blogger does it by accident or something but for a company to do it??
@Ashii: oh good! Let me know how you like them!
@Kattatonic: haha thank you!
@LadyLuck: thank you! I agree!
@Charlotte: thanks!
@Meredith Jessica: Hey, thanks! I don't have photoshop and after seeing your tutorial on how you edit your pictures, I don't know if I could handle it haha. There are so many things you can do and I don't know if I'd understand it all.
@Toshia: thank you! I have the elf blush/bronzer duo and some NYX taupe. I always use the bronzer from the duo to contour but when I do dramatic looks like this, I think it needs more contour so I added NYX's taupe blush.
@FoxyAries: thank you! I know! I wonder if they just took them all??
@Meme: thank you so much!
I am in love with this look! Navy smokey eyes are my absolute favorite. Very well done!
